I met a woman today. She lost her husband over a year ago. She showed me the text messages she had kept from his last few days, promising he would come home to her and that he love her with every inch of his body. I felt immediately guilty because in my head I was comparing her pain to mine. I can only imagine what is like to lose someone and never be able to see them again, speak to them, nevermind be held in their arms again.
